Glaze Time began in September 2014 with a simple idea: that painting a piece of pottery is one of the loveliest, most mindful ways to spend time together — and that you shouldn't need a fixed studio to do it. So Michelle brought the studio to you, popping up in cafés, pubs and living rooms right across Harpenden.

Both! Our pub sessions are drop-in, so you're welcome to just come along — but a quick booking is always recommended so we can make sure there's space and pottery ready for you. Cabin, home and weekend sessions do need booking.
You pay for the piece you paint — anywhere from £8 to £35 — and that includes all the paints, the clear glaze and the kiln firing. Birthday parties start at £18 per painter, and takeaway kits are a £15 deposit.
Your piece needs to be glazed and kiln-fired, which takes around 14 days. We wrap and bag each piece individually so it's ready to keep or give as a gift.
Absolutely both. Glaze Time really is for everyone, from babes to the retired — we have parent & toddler groups, children's parties, and grown-ups-only Sip n Pottery evenings with a glass of prosecco.
Yes — home visits and team-building sessions are one of our favourite things. We bring everything to your table; a minimum spend applies. Message Michelle to arrange a date.
Glaze Time is mobile and based in Harpenden, popping up in local cafés and pubs through the week and covering the surrounding villages for parties and home visits.
